Buying a home? Selling one? Insurance asking for documentation? After a storm or panel issue? A licensed electrical inspection identifies problems and gives you a written report you can act on.
An electrical safety inspection is the most cost-effective protection against a fire, electrocution, or expensive repair caught too late. ABC Electric Inc. provides comprehensive electrical inspections across central Kentucky for homeowners, buyers, sellers, insurance underwriters, and post-incident assessments.
Our inspection covers everything that matters: panel and breaker condition, branch circuit grounding, outlet and switch function, GFCI/AFCI compliance, smoke and CO alarm function, exterior and outdoor circuit safety, and overall code compliance. We use thermal imaging on the panel to catch hot connections before they become problems. You get a detailed written report you can hand to a buyer, an insurance agent, or use to plan repairs.
Most inspections take 2-3 hours and are reasonably priced. We are not the cheapest option, but our reports are thorough, defensible, and respected by realtors and insurance companies across central Kentucky. If we find issues, we will tell you what is urgent versus what is acceptable to defer — we are not in the business of using inspections to drum up unnecessary repair work.
Here is what is typically included when we handle this service for you.
Infrared scan of panel and key junctions. Catches hot connections before they fail.
Detailed photos, findings, severity ratings, and recommended actions. Insurance-ready.
Detailed inspection for home buyers. Identify issues before closing.
Reports formatted for insurance underwriting. Required for some older homes.
After lightning, surge, or storm damage — verify everything is safe to use.
GFCI, AFCI, smoke alarms, panel code — all verified to current standards.
